About JBF
Julie Brynildsen Farrier is a London based designer graduated with a BA
(Hons)Degree in Footwear from the prestigious London College of Fashion .Through
her years as a design student Julie has aimed to learn all aspects of footwear
making to create the perfect products and push design boundaries through
experimentation.
With previous experience with luxury footwear brand
Freya Rose London and a year placement with fast fashion high street footwear
company Bianco Footwear, Julie chose to focus her final major project on
reviving the footwear craftsmanship in her native country, Norway.
By using the knowledge she has gathered from the industry, Julie made a concept
focusing on locally sourcing materials and components to make a beautifully
crafted collection handmade in Norway.
For this project Julie was
shortlisted for the Jimmy Choo award and was also nominated for the Cordwainers’
Prize for Sustainable Fashion award.
